V.J. may have won the war of words, but when I’m in my sweet green wet suit, we’ll see who has the last laugh! This comic is of course a reference to the new movie Kick-Ass based on the awesome comic. I highly recommend both offerings though be aware they do have gratuitous violence and language. It reminded me of Kill Bill – Volume One in these respects.

As I will soon be gainfully employed, I’ve been squandering my remaining free time much like I would the last days of summer vacation. I got around to watching both seasons of Rome as well as the first season of Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Rome is superior in every way. It’s better paced, the historical figures are more interesting, the setting is more varied (Spartacus takes place entirely in one building), and there’s less male nudity. These are all good things.

For anyone who is a fan of Final Fantasy 7, be sure to check out the amazing comic by ObstinateMelon. The man is a machine and seems to be able to crank out a new comic every other day. Lots of great background gags and gamer references.
